About Our Pastor
Pastor Lackey was born in Monroe Ga., to the parents of Frank and Vivian Lackey. Being raised in the home of his maternal grandparents, Dea. Earl and Maudie Ree Broughton Sr., our pastor developed a love for God and the church. Growing up in the church Pastor Lackey severed in many areas of youth ministry at the Macedonia Baptist Church of Monroe Ga.
Pastor Lackey graduated from the Monroe Area High School and went on to serve our country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged as a Non-Commissioned Officer.
Pastor Lackey returned home to Monroe and there met and married his lovely wife, Sonya Ivey Lackey, and to this union they have three sons and two grandchildren. Pastor Lackey accepted his call into the Gospel Ministry in 1994, and began his journey of raising a family and attending Bible College to better prepare him to preach and teach the people of God. Pastor Lackey has received his Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts Degrees from Beulah Heights University (formally Beulah Heights Bible College). He has continued to gain wisdom by attending graduate level courses and receiving a Master of Arts Degree from Luther Rice Seminary. Pastor Lackey has completed one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. Pastor Lackey is employed with the Gainesville City School System as Director of Transportation.
Pastor Lackey has served as the former Pastor of the Browns Hill Baptist Church in Monroe Ga. and accepted the call to serve as the sixth Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church of Gainesville Ga. May 6, 2002.
Pastor Lackey served as the Moderator of the Greater Northwestern Baptist Association of Ga. Inc. for 8 years. He has accepted many opportunities to preach across the State of Ga., for revivals and other programs at various churches and organizations.
Pastor Lackey preaches and teaches with passion, to equip the saints to become the standard for stewardship and discipleship within the community of Gainesville Ga. It is his belief that the greatest sermon preached is a sermon lived. Pastor strives to live by serving others.
